Pre-stealing ideas

Seth (as usual) has a gem on his blog today about pre-stealing ideas. The summary, as he outlines it is:
The market rarely rewards off-the-charts creativity that comes from another solar system. It’s more likely that a successful innovation is already in the works somewhere. Just think like them but be bolder and faster.
Pre-stealing ideas is also very common in the startup world and here is a link to a previous article on the same topic:
Life Beyond Code: Help – someone stole my idea!
As the week unfolds, why don’t you think of pre-stealing some ideas soon?

Rajesh, I read it the way you do and am glad to be reminded that there isn’t anything new under the sun, just a reworked version.

Really? I thought Seth’s post was about someone frustrated that his laziness was someone else’s advantage. Pre-stealing is so Seth Godin: meaningless, but full of marketing brou-ha-ha.
