Lowered the bar to claim your expertise
However, the marketplace has
NOT lowered the standards to recognize that expertise
The point is:
You can claim expertise in whatever you want but the marketplace still wants PROOF!

Rajesh,
You have taken a sharp pin and pricked the balloon of false thought-leadership marketing. I found myself laughing and nodding through the entire sequence.
This makes a great counterpart to a piece that I posted in my blog about the intersection of thought-leadership marketing and social capital.
It’s good to surround yourself in an ecosystem of genuine thought-leaders; however, there’s a cost when you surround yourself with false thought-leaders.
