Are you open to feedback?
Yes?
Now, are you REALLY open for feedback?
Most people who say they are open to feedback or really not open to feedback. They like feedback that validates what they already know and believe in. If they get feedback that is not in line with what they already believe in they will typically “shoot the messenger” and move on.
Now, are you REALLY open for feedback?

I am open with feedback.
Rajesh, I am a Software QA Consultant so you know feedback becomes day2day part of life. Sometimes giving and getting feedback make you feel like you are in waging war as of my experience that no one wants to hear criticism “Who me? I’m perfect” like attitude issues.
You know my friend Learning to handle criticism is a skill in itself.Thanks,Nimesh.

There are two types of feedback: One that serves the person/team that is giving the feedback. One that helps the person receiving the feedback. Usually, the guys who really need the feedback and who are given the feedback are of two types: they are completely ignorant and they have no need to improve. Or they know what they are doing and they do it intentionally.
So, in final analysis, it is better to give feedback that is self-serving or serving a greater cause whateverthatis!
