Did you know? – Scott McLeod – must watch!

Scott McLeod and Karl Fisch come up with a brilliant 6 minute video on change that is happening.

If some of us think that we can deal with change just the way our parents or our grandparents dealt with it, we are WRONG. Download this movie (Mac folks have to forgive me – it’s in WMV format) and spend those six minutes.

Scott McLeod: Did you know (download link)

I am shaken and stirred :)

Thanks Sterling for the link.

Thanks for the kind words Rajesh. Folks can also download a PowerPoint version from my blog, or Scott also posted versions in Quicktime, Flash, AVI, YouTube.

Rajesh, thank you so much for sharing this awesome video produced by Scott McLeod and Karl Fisch. It was fascinating and captivating and I’m definitely recommending it to others. We live at a time that is like no other; this video leaves you with a lot to think about. What an exciting time to be alive.

WOW. I want to share this with my students but am afraid they will be overwhelmed. I know I was. Knowing this, how do I teach my students to adapt?

Raj,

I thought on this and later realised that ….even if we feed all the information present in the world to a 200$ microprocessor. Still the wisdom will not be there….even if you co-relate to today’s world. A fresh man could be feeded with all the information required for his job. But still he would need the wisdom of the person who has worked there for years so to make a decision….because correct decision can be made only by wisdom not by only information…..this is what I think ….

Thanks,

Praveen

I have a favor to ask. I’d love to send a copy of this to my principal and co-workers because I think as educators, these are important things to consider. However, the last page negates me being able to use this information in an academic setting. If you can change the last card to say, “What does this mean?” Last card, should say something about education in America needs to change. Or we need to rethink how and what we are teaching our children so they can compete in the new global economy, then this presentation would be widely distributed in the academic community. Would it be possible for you to create a second version that we can use for our debate about curriclum? Thanks either way for putting together this info.

Does *anyone* know if Scott McLeod has a source page on this clip, and where it can be found? I, too, like others, would love to use this in class, but I can’t use it if I can’t verify the sources of the stats. HELP!
