Quotes worth recording – Dale Carnegie

Most people think that they will be happy if they are successful (in their own terms) but Carnegie explains beautifully that happiness comes from wanting what you aleady have. In fact, you can be happy right now with what you have. Doesn’t mean that you should not aspire for more but the logic of equating happiness to success is flawed a bit.
“Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get”
– Dale Carnegie

How true. We are always looking outward and asking how much more can I get when the real question should be how much more can I give. In Carnegie’s best-selling book,”How to Win Friends and Influence People,” he notes that the most important thing the reader can learn is to see things from the other’s perspective. Indeed, it is when we forget ourselves and look at what can be done for others that we do those things that are remembered. Thanks for spreading the word on Carnegie’s truisms!
